Daniel | January 3, 2010I have a few things I’m working on this year. I don’t like the word “resolutions” because they’ve come to mean a pass/fail mindset in our culture. Perfect, after all, is the bitter enemy of good even though it likes to present itself as being related. It’s a positive thing to have new years goals. So without further explanation, here are some things I want to work on this year:
1) I’m recommitting to eating a healthier diet and getting more exercise. I’ve struggled with it since I started working from home, so now I’m going to actively seek out solutions.
2) I’ve decided to do a “365 Project”. The idea is to take at least one picture a day, every day, for a year. As part of that, I’m also doing a weekly project that focuses on different types of photography each week.
3) I want to stop taking joy in the personal failings of people that don’t share the same political or religious views I do. Buddhists have a concept known as “sympathetic joy”. I think this is related.
4) I want to play with my cats more. They love to play, and over the past few years we’ve gotten out of the habit.
That’s it! Short list, but should have a big impact. What about you? What goals or plans do you have for 2010? - viagra online
